Chateau de Randan, 7km from here and formerly part of the same royal estate as Chateau de Maulmont, re-opens for visiting after two years of closure and extensive works.
Princesse Adélaïde, sister of King Louis Philippe, who had Chateau de Maulmont built as her hunting lodge in 1830, was also the owner of Chateau de Randan at the time.
The visits of Chateau de Randan involve the gatehouse, the kitchen wing, the renovated terrace, the chapel, the service quarters and the park.
Guided and unguided visits: 30th May to 30th June: from 2pm to 7pm; from 1st July to 31st August: from 10am to 7pm and from 1st September to 30th September: from 2pm to 6pm.
Entry fee: 4 € ; free for children under 16. The entry fee includes access to the château and the exhibition, guided or unguided. Handicapped access.
